WORK EXPERIENCES
The following is an overview of some of my past and present job positions. They range from running cameras to directing broadcasts and more.

UTVS PRODUCTION MANAGER
For almost three years, I oversaw the set-up for a multitude of both live and pre-recorded shows. This included lighting, sound, and any other elements needed to insure smooth broadcasts. Whenever an issue arose, I had to quickly assess the situation and fix the problem, especially when the show was live. I also gave advice on what equipment was needed for different shoots and encouraged high quality content from producers. I trained an estimate of over one hundred students in how to properly maintain and use technology and software. At the end of the day, I cleaned everything, reported any major problems to the correct people, and prepared equipment for the next day.
UTVS SHOW PRODUCER
During my time in college, I produced five television programs. The first was 'Week in Review', a news program that highlighted the top stories of the week and introduced new students to the studios. I helped train these students in all the positions we offered. In addition to training, I also created rundowns using the Associated Press ENPS program, properly stacked shows, wrote news stories, and made both story VOs, SOTs, and CGs. In addition to Week in Review, I was a producer, editor, director, and photojournalist for 'UTVS News', which acted as the local news program for all of St. Cloud and its surrounding areas.
Another show I produced was a late-night comedy show called 'Husky Tonight'. We created 30 minute shows containing a variety of skits. To do this from scratch, I had to organize groups efficiently to write stories clearly. Once all components were filmed, I edited all the elements together using Adobe Premiere Pro.
The final show I produced was 'Sidelines'. It is a sports talk show where we partner with the college radio station, KVSC. My main role was to make graphics, videos, and to gather the crew. Recently, the show won the Award of Merit from the 2021 MBJA Eric Sevareid Awards.

MASS COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT CHECKOUT WORKER
As an Equipment Checkout Worker for St. Cloud State University's Mass Communication Department, my main job was to assist students in renting out equipment for classes and projects. I maintained equipment such as Panasonic camcorders, DSLR cameras, light panels, microphones and more. Whenever anything broke or went missing, I fixed and reported the issue to my supervisor. I was also in-charge of opening and shutting down all control rooms, studios, and classrooms throughout the work day.
SCSU ATHLETICS MEDIA/IN-HOUSE CREW
I worked in St. Cloud State University's Athletics Department as a student video editor and in-house production crew. I created promo videos and commercials for different sports. In addition to that, I also worked as the main in-house director and technical director for the SCSU Men's Hockey. Other broadcasts I worked while on the in-house crew were for basketball, football, volleyball, and baseball (picture on right).
UTVS NEWS
I was an extremely active member of UTVS news for my entire college career. Not only did I work every single position available as audio, video, graphics, and camera operator, I was also one of the only photojournalists. I set-up and recorded many VOs on my own, as well as assisted both reporters and anchors film packages and teases when needed. Additionally, I produced Thursday's newscast for a semester and was a main director for a little over a year. I also had the pleasure to work as one of the technical and floor directors.
